See where umpiring can take you...
How about taking the field at the MCG on
Grand Final day? Goal Umpire Rose O'Dea and boundary umpire Chris Simms got to
live the dream of umpires, players and anyone who loves footy. Rose and Chris
umpired the final of the National U16 Championships match between Vic Metro and
WA. The game was played as the curtain raiser to the Geelong v Hawthorn Grand
Final. Rose and Chris got to run on the hallowed turf, as well as experience the
lead up to the big match in the umpire rooms - chatting to the AFL Grand Final
umpires and coaches.

his craft. Luke adds the preseason grand final to his tally of 28 AFL games,
with more to come in 2009
